REPLACING POST EARRINGS for the first time

If you find that you have a need to replace your post earrings before the piercing is fully healed, the following steps can help in reducing damage to delicate tissue.

There are many reasons to replace your starter earrings after the initial piercing:
~ PURE Titanium earrings were not available by your piercer
~ Swollen or infected ears due to posts being too short, and or metal sensitivities
~ A special occasion ~ not recommended, but you're going to do it anyway...right?

REFER TO CORRESPONDING IMAGES BELOW

STEP 1
Open a sterile package of Cannula Body Piercing Needles and throw everything away EXCEPT for the plastic needle sleeve.
Take care to order the right size needle to fit your posts...20GA is standard size.

STEP 2
With post in earlobe, remove the backer.

STEP 3
Test the fit of the tube with the replacement earrings, if the fit is too tight, cut the tapered end of the tube. DIP THE TUBE IN ALCOLOL AND LET DRY.
Slip the sterilized tube over the post that you are removing...as far as it will go.

STEP 4
Push the tube through the piercing.

STEP 5
Replace the earring

STEP 6
Push the earring and tube back through the earlobe and remove the tube.
